Diane Franks was born in Salmon Arm, B.C., Canada.  Mrs. Franks has been living in “the States” since 1971 and has been teaching science since 1985. She also taught at Ferris High School in Spokane, and Bainbridge Island High School, Bainbridge Island. Mrs. Franks has a BS in Zoology from UC Davis and a MA in Chemistry from WSU. Mrs. Franks has also attended the University of Bergen and the University of Oslo, Norway. Mrs. Franks focuses on teaching the physical sciences (Science 8, Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics).
